SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to students attending secondary schools whose parents are unable to cover the cost for students to remain in school.
NCF sends applications forms to primary schools during the third term. School administrators make the selection of eligible students based on the student’s socioeconomic circumstances as well as the student’s performance at the Common Entrance Exam. Only one student is recommended from each primary School, and the NCF Education Committee makes the final decision.
Scholarships awards can be used to cover cost of school fees, school uniforms, books, meal allowances, examination fees and transportation and caution fees.
Scholarship funds are disbursed as follows – costs for meals and transportation are made in the name of the student’s parents; books and uniforms allocations are made directly to suppliers and school fees paid directly to the school.
All applications must be submitted on the NCF official Scholarship Application form and applications must be completed and signed by the school Principal (Primary Level) with the school stamp.
